Highland Conservative Transport spokesman Cllr Struan Mackie experiences chaotic performance of Serco at London Euston Station.
A carriage of passengers experienced forced removal on the London Euston to Inverness servies this week. One of those passengers was Cllr Struan Mackie, the Highland Conservatives Transport spokesman.
Speaking after two rearranged services the Thurso and Northwest Caithness Councillors said " I am incredibly disappointed for the tens of passengers who were looking forward to a overnight service to the Highlands."
"Being removed from their berths at short notice, only to be left on the platform at Euston is unacceptable... the option to travel on the Lowland Sleeper ia an alternative but is not substantive for arriving in the Highland capital the day after departure from London."
"I have seeked urgent clarification from the transport minister why the Sleeper rolling stock continues to face such regular maintenance problems and I look forward to bringing it forward to the Council chamber in due course."
